hey all
I have a chip overclocked from 1 gig to 1420 at the moment and my idle temps are 32c , under load it is 52 , now before you goto thinking , I have no utilities like cpu cool or such and its running at this , my pc has been on since 6 A.M this morning and it is now 6P.M , I noticed this a few days ago and have been watching it closely.I am running xp , any ideas? I have a thermoengine cooler with a stock fan.

mine has been on for 3 days with no re-start and I am sitting at 31c, (very cool here in Seattle). So what really is the question, those temps sound good.

what did you set your Vcore to and what is your Mult x FSB setup?

I would guess it is most likely because of your case cooling.

It's always been a rule of thumb to me that if you have a large increase in temps between idle and full load is that you have bad case cooling or bad directionals. Try rearranging your fans so they blow straight on the cpu and make the sure the air gets out just as fast, having a lot of air blown in and non out is theorticly the same as no airflow or very little.

oh yea.. what are your room temps? I'm guessing 23ish?!?

well guys , like last week the idle was 48C and load was 52c , thats what I dont get , what cooled it down? 10.5X138 is my current settings@1.82 votltage core , I had it at 138X10.5 @ 1.89 and my temps idle were nothing like this .The only reason I set my settings down was to see if it would lower my temps and apparently it has :)

hey
I have no case mods , only2 case fans , 1 in and 1 out , and the power supply , and well if it was 20C off surely it would have crashed at 72 c wouldnt you think?I played cs for 8 hours one day without a problem ,I know I have no life but anyway.I checked the temps in the bios ,sandra ,and mbm , they all read the same??

I agree your temps are accurate, maybe just cause the lack of massive cfm in your case is the reason for the difference, maybe you can shoot Hoot an e-mail and see what he say?
