It depends on the platform you're using. Tighter memory timings benefit the P4 platform most, then the Athlon XP, with the Athlon 64 being affected least by memory timings.

I opt for cheaper RAM in my system as the performance benefit of better RAM isn't as great as it is with a P4.....
