my keyboard and mouse arent working!

they work before entering windows.i can use the keyboard to change bios settings etc... before entering windows.

i tried every combination of connections to try and get them working.they r the logitech wireless internet navigator set.they used to work before i upgraded my pc, but stopped working for a while, and then when i upgraded they worked until i restarted my pc and then they stopped functioning.

i tried the keyboard and mouse on my friends and it works fine, also i used his keyboard in mine, which is working fine with his, but is not on mine.

the mouse pointer stays in the middle of the screen but i cant mover it or use the keyboard at all.the weird thing is that they worked initially after i upgraded my pc, and when i restarted it they stopped functioning.

what can i do? its definitely not the keyboard and mouse itself, as they work on my friends, and they worked on mine for about 2years.they stopped working 2 months before i upgraded my pc, and then when i upgraded they worked for a while until i restarted my pc.please help as this is so annoying as i havent got a spare keyboard or mouse.

What did you upgrade?

motherboard, ram, graphics card, case and monitor.but the thing is it stopped working before i upgraded it so i dont know what is wrong. please someone help!

uninstall the drivers for both the mouse and keyboard. i have almost the exact same keyboard and mouse and had a he11 of a time trying to get them to work. in the end i had to uninstall everything that had to do with logitech and start over. make sure you go to your device manager and uninstall them there too.

i cant actually do anything in windows? iv used other keyboards to do it, even wired ones, and nothing happens,cant use mouse or keyboard in windows.

hmmm, did you check your BIOS to make sure they enabled?

yes, all keyboard and mouse things r enabled.do u think i will hav to reinstall windows?
maybe problem with my mobo? if ther was problem with my mobo tho, it probably wouldnt function at all, right?
could it b conflicting with other installed hardware?

did you reformat and reinstall windows when you did the upgrade? if not, then you really should, and it will most likely solve your problem

yup i formatted the hd and reinstalled windows after upgrading. i used the keyboard and mouse for a while as it did work at first, but after installing a couple pieces of hardware, including the keyboard and mouse, it just stopped working. it works before entering windows.i can change the settings in bios etc.., but as soon as windows loads up it just stops!!!!?????
