What is the best sound card for under $27? I wanna play dos games like Descent 1and 2

Hi I would like to know whats a good soundcard for under $27???
I can get a Sound Blaster Live Value PCI PnP Full-Duplex for $34 off pricewatch do you think I should save a little more?. I dont know if it plays dos games or not..
I was looking at a Creative Lab Sound Blaster Ensoniq 16 Bit PCI 128 for $12. What about a Turtle BeachMontego II 320-Voice Sound Card for $18? please give me some help I have no sound card and it sucks :(

Sounblaster live! is, IMHO, the best buy for the money.

the soundbalster pci 512 has been pretty good for me...i think it is cheaper than a live....it hads 3d audio and all that stuff.....for playing descent i dont think you need a good audio card though....that 12 dollar one should be fine

ok cool thanks guys yeah I'm not wAY big into music or anything.
I just play mp3s sometimes and record songs now and then
my SB AWE 64 was fine but it was ISA so it had to go with my $80 urs 56k non winmodem to :-|

Lame theres like lots of Sound Blaster PCI128
ones with 4 Speaker, ones with EAX. ones with ENSONIQ?
what is the best one? I have a 4 speaker setup btw..

I agree SB live is the way to go. You may not be into music or anything like that right now, but who knows maybie later you will be. It is worth the extra few bucks
