So i work for a software company in SW Chicago, and my buddy calls me up and says that this bar he is part owner of has computer problems. So i agreed to come in and have a look at it, if i can drink for free all night for Game 7 of the NY/BOS series. Good deal right? So easy fix, he had SP2 installed w/ auto updates on and it hosed his net connection. Just rolled it back, and did the uninstall of SP2 and then ran adaware for the hell of it. What did i find?

5900 errors! I told him, some of your bartenders must be going overboard w/ the porn hahaha.

I printed it out, when i get to work, ill see if i can scan it and post it for fun.

My VP's pc had some spyware on it that actually uninstalled SP2 and would not allow it to be installed. Could be the same type of stuff.

Should have run TrendMicro's free virus scan, I bet it would have found plenty to sink it's teeth into!

with that much crap on the compy, it really wouldn't surprise me if there was a virus or two on there...

Jeez thats a lot! People really dont look after their pc's...i swear there should be like an anti pc cruelty organisation with the power to rescue neglected computers....

but who would pay for the multi-billion dollar warehouse to store 95% of the world's computers in? :D

Easy, the do an " adopt-a-rig " type thing.

i'm sure quite a few of us will take those negelcted comptuers, and put them to good use, for Seti or Folding ( depending on your preference )
