Hello peeps :D I have me 128 MB Kingston PC133 SDRAM that is running at cas3 by default in the BIOS. If I were to set this to cas2, would I see a change in performance? The RAM is only running at 118 due to my FSB. :) Thanks.

Put the setting SDRAM configuration to user define.
Set sdram cas latency to 2.
Set sdram ras precharge time to 2.
Set sdram ras to cas delay to 2.

If you need help with this see the manual page 64.

well, you really need to know what your memory is rated for. You can check this with ctSPD, I think it's available for download at TweakFiles (http://www.tweakfiles.com/). It'll tell you what CAS your RAM is rated for at what speeds.

Switching to CAS2 will definitely give you a performance boost. If it makes your system unstable, though, it's probably not worth it. Truly, no matter what your RAM is rated for, you need to try it to find out for sure.

Performance increase? You bet! I gained about 100 points in 3DMark2001 going to CAS 2-2-2 from default. (Crucial 2100DDR)
