Ok check this little nightmare out. Im running Win2K on a unlocked 1ghz Athlon with a Msi KT7 Turbo mobo (KT133a), 512 megs of pc133 (probably cas3), a Visiontek Geforce3, a 400W PSU. With the latest bios, amd agp driver, detonator driver and every other updated driver there is ...

So I overclocked my 1 ghz athlon by clock slight adjust to 115 and vcore setting 1.625v. The computer posted at 1150 mhz and booted with no hitches. Once the OS loaded I noticed the cursor for the mouse was nowhere to be found, it was as though the ps/2 wasnt plugged in, after checking every setting in Win2k, I tried using a variety of connectors ps/2 to serial, ps/s to USB nothing worked so I restored the fail safe bios settings(removed all overclocking) and the stupid cursor came back after several reboots......I was happy to see it back, but I am on a mission so i made some smaller adjustments cranked the cpu up to 1050 mhz, and lo and behold the mouse cursor disappeared again!

I figured ok so something is awry let my try to get the cursor back then ill tweak a little more conservatively, once again I restored the fail safe defaults this time there is no mouse cursor period, it isnt just invisible it isnt even getting an IRQ....Does anyone know what the hell is going on???

Yeah, these things happen sometimes when overclocking, do a CMOS reset to bring it back and go from there, sorry I can't be anoymore of some help but I've only seen this case 1 time before and it was at a much higher FSB, when you lowered it back it came back, could be the mobo as well,

Try swapping the KB and mouse ports and see if you get the same result.

What type mouse do you have?

You running your rig at 115mhz FSB is the same as us doing over 140mhz FSB cause you are not taking advantage of the 1/4 divider for your PCI bus. On the Turbo (see pic) there is a jumper for setting the FSB to 133mhz. Do this and you should have no problem running at 1.33ghz with that 1ghz. (10x133), if that don't work try lowering the multiplier till it does. Any questions just ask, I have become a master of this board.

Well I reset the cmos, it didnt fix it ...So I swapped the keyboard and the mouse, and neither would work. This is getting spooky...Is possible to fry a mouse port? And if it did why did it work temporarily(until I oc'ed again)?
