okay...so, let's see I went to the computer stores and looked for some fan/heatsinks....unfortunately there didn't have much of a choice...other then the radio shacks one, there were only 3 that I paid attention to:
TT Supoer Orb: 44$ expensive for my budget.....though I read that in the ClubOC reviews that this was a bad h/f for your Duron...on to the next one....
TT Volcano 6CU: 26$ Canadian...hmm, cheap, but I couldn't see any difference between this and my CPU stock h/f....
TT Volcano 6CU+:34$.....7000 RPM FAN! Bring me to the cashier please...
Heh, I also had my eye on some Artic Paste...damn 20$ for 3 grams? My wallet was empty anyways....
So I bought 10 grams of startech grease for 6 bucks, :P
Anyways....installed all the stuff in (DAMN taking crap thermal pads off the chip is hard as hell)
YAY! Temp dropped from 44 degrees at startup to 24 degrees....now it's holding steady at 31 degrees....
Anyways, I'm excited, heh, I'm kinda empty now, so if anybody in Ontario wants to send me a swift h/f, please go ahead :)
