I want to improve my case cooling, but i only want to use a basic one fan in, one fan out approach. Do you think this can ever be as effective as having blowholes and such. I cut out the front of my case, so i can probably mount whatever size fan I want. Do you think mounting a 120mm fan or maybe one of those centrifigul blowers in the front of my case would be effective and quiet at the same time, or will just putting a couple side blowholes yield the same results?

I'm not too sure which way will work better. Sorry I can't help. But I can tell you one thing. 120mm fan? Do you know how much noise those things make? My friend and I have nicknamed them " The Jet Engine ". Bloody loud! You may be able to get less noisy ones from somewhere.....

Not all 120mm fans are loud, I have 4 of them running 65-80cfm each at a lofty 3000-3500rpm. I can hear my hard drive and I can barely hear my 80mm on my Swifty. They make many quiet 120mm's. Try www.plycon.com
