View Full Version : Logitech MX1000 good for FPS?
How is this mouse for counter-strike? It had good reviews, but I'm a bit shadey about cordless mice.. i don't like the lag, and I dont like how the cursor stops for a moment when you click on a button or use the scroller.. Does it on my Elite Duo. I've heard that this mouse is the equivilant of a corded usb mouse in terms of speed.
I'm a Quake 3 freak. My buddies on the server use this mouse alot. I have not heard them complain about any lag.

I have MX DUO and I have ZERO problems/LAG with my MX700 mouse. The only time you will get problems is when you install the keyboard software...

only thing is if u install the logitech software it and press the extra buttons during game it opens a lil window saying, hey what do u want this to do.

Best gaming mouse IMO is the MX510. Its really nice, lotsa buttons, very fast, and light.
No doubt it is but im not a fan of wires. I just want a cordless mouse that feels as smooth and responsive as a USB corded mouse.. which i guess is the mx1000

If I could have sex with only one mouse. It would be the MX1000.
You know how I know it's good? Because it's got 1000 in the title. And, as everyone knows, 1000 is the best number ever.

IMO that no matter what, the bottom line is that the corded mouses will always be more responsive. With CS if you are .00000000001 sec behind in pulling the trigger compared to the guy shooting you, you will be the one who dies! This is an exaggeration but there is no way a corded mouse specifically the MX510 or RAZOR are slower in response than the no corded mice. I currently use a RAZOR and I am very pleased with it. I have had it for two weeks and I have everything set to the fastest response. Let me tell you I have lightning fast response and if you don't pull that trigger on my head you will be splattered all over. There are many other factors for lag but all else the same you will be that .00000001 behind, does it matter to you?
I just bought a mouse bungee from Frozen CPU to take care of the cord issue.
Good luck!!!

I use the MX1000, been for a few months now. Personally I love it. The mouse IS a tad heavier then the mx510 and if you don't like heavy mouses then this might not work for you. Besides that, the mouse is just as responsive as any corded mouse I've ever used. This is without installing any of the logitech software at least. I haven't tried to install that software to see if I could make use of the extra buttons for anything in a game and to check responsiveness. If it's not broke I don't usually try to fix it :)
Personally, if you are looking for a cordless alternative to a corded mouse for gaming then the mx1000 is the only solutions worth considering. It is that good in my opinion. Good like Morgan Webb in FHM.....

I just upgraded from an MX700 to the MX1000 and it kicks ass, definitely improved FPS performance.
