When I started folding (around April/May) the "Rate of Production" was ranging between 200 to 300+ WU's now we are in the 300 to 400+ range. We are really knocking out some WU's. If the Team continues to grow at this rate we will catch the Nerdz hopefully around December. Keep up the recruitment every machine puts us that much closer to the top.
Congratulation to the whole Team we are kicking butt and taking names.

Wega!

We are now 3rd in production for the week and extremely close to 2nd.

I used to participate in the forums way back before they were changed and have been coming to overclockers.com since the days of the celery 300a. I wish I had come back earlier to see what our history in folding is.

Either way I am glad I can participate now.

They are at the Statsman site (http://www.statsman.org)

I was wondering something...
Do we have a standard sized banner ad to advertise the team that could be pointed to the team page or forum??

<edit>Looks like I was too slow :D </edit>

Just got back online after having a miserable time installing a wireless keyboard/optical mouse that did not want to work. Finally got it to work by hooking it up the wrong way, at least I think it's the wrong way. Go figure. The good news is that as soon as I logged on I noticed that we had a BLACK LINE!! That's the number 2 spot for the week. That made the whole thing worthwhile.

well our production is higher, but it is going to be a long time before we can do any passing. I think we are capable of an extra 2-3 thousand a week if we push to get some new members hard enough.

We will pass nerdz soon enough, but DSLReports will take 5 years to pass at the current rate and they should have some help, temporary at least, from their SETI team coming soon. We just need to grow the team.

Either way I am glad I can participate now. Yep same here. I was a bad boy and stopped visiting the forum and when I came back this is what I found. One Baaaaaaaddd Forum site. This setup is so much better it's almost criminal. I did seti for a while too. Kinda wore off. Folding seems more worthwhile and the competition is awesome. It's almost a blessing that all these machines designed for power and raring to go would be available for such a worthy cause. From this point forward if my machines will boot they will be folding.:)

Wonder how a deal would go over to selling PC's slightly discounted provide the buyer agrees to FOLD for overclockers.com for a year? :D I know the boxes I'm building for my family members will ALL receive a complementry F@H install and instructions to make sure and run it 24/7 if possible...
That will give me a total of 4 folding units, 2 in-house the others at my two sisters places. either Christmas or at least by May of next year i will build a 5th box for my nephews 10th birthday...it'll also fold ;)

Right now my 2 folders are producing over 100 WU's a week :)

It's weird how fast frame times have been..last nights WU was averaging 1:30 per frame....today's WU is averaging 2:50 per frame..yet there were supposed the same protein..?

I was thinking that it would be cool if there were some sort of a group buy but I have no idea how to set something like that up. I also noticed that the last two machines I bought came packed in a very plain box labeled 'Made in Taiwan' which makes me wonder if we couldn't simply find out where in Taiwan they are buying the boxes, etc and simply import a quantity of them ourselves. Like you said I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle and responsibility(bad processors, boards, etc) unless the prices were unbelievable. Customer service would almost definitely suck, but isn't that the case for most of the pricewatch co's anyway?
