HELP~!! Can't install directx9c

I have DX 9b, when i download the program, i go through the EULA, then it says, it will now search for required updates. I click NEXT, and then it says u're update is FINISHED!!! i didn't even dl/install!!!

there is very little difference between 9b and 9c. (shader support is about all i can think about). So it may have needed to update only a very tiny portion of the program code, not the whole thing.

If you want to make sure you have the latest version installed just uninstall the previous version and reboot. Then reinstall the current version!

was windows installed from a slipstreamed cd? ive had many problems from my slipstreamed cd with DX, and only tihng ive found is to use the original cd and jsut download the SPs and all the updates.

Are you doing a Windows Update or did you download the redistributle? You should try downloading the redristributable. Dang, I can't type.

easily remove any direct x version and re-install the one you want..

after you done installing hit start button and the run . type in dxdiag and it will pull it all up and tell you the version installed. :santa:
