I decided to be a smart A** and wipe out the entire HDD of my brand new 600m dell that i got 2 hours ago, i went ahead and put in win XP pro and in the process eliminate all the crap that dell put on my brand new lappy. Need to say more i didn't get USB 2 on my laptop, device manager shows that it's unknown, i can still use my jumpdrives and stuff but it's the slower USB 1.0 not USB 2, do you know where i can get the driver for it? i've been searching the microsoft websites for hours and no luck, thanks.
and also i get a dual boot screen now (wierd since i wipe the HDD out) i have an option to choose between winXP pro and home<<< came with the system, at anyrate, i'm thinking about editing the boot.ini to get rid of this screen, any ideas how to do it? (obviously the xp home doesn't work since it got wiped hehe).
BTW, i don't have any service pack on me (i don't need them) and my chipset is "Intel Mobile Chipset"

Installing Service Pack 1 or 2 should give you USB2.0 support. As for the boot options, if they appear then you must not have formatted the drive right. I'd suggest trying again since something from your old install may end up conflicting with the new one.
