K6 III Temp????

I've got an old K6III 400Mhz and I think that it runs quite hot....
It reached 56-57°C according to the MB probe (Asus P5A), so I decided to add a small fan and a duct and the temp lowered to 52-53°C (room was 26°).
Can someone please tell me if it's normal?
Maybe the board shows an value higher than the real one...

I got the same CPU though I don't have a temp prob, I do know that the CPUs max. temps are about 70C. But I think my temps are about the same...
I'm now constructing a water cooling system to overclock and cool it...

But you should try to cool it some more...

My old roomates machine used to trip the heat sensor on the motherboard like nuts at 52 C and that was 2 years ago. We have sense disabled and he hasn't had any problems with it sense.

Seems rather high to me! I'm running a K6-3 450 2.4v @ 464 2.4v on a DFI K6BV+/66. 29C at idle. 34C after 20 min of gaming.
