So 2 days ago, i changed domain hosts. I changed the dns name servers and they officially changed yesterday. kind of.....
there fighting. literally
some days my web site points to the old host, some days it points to the new one. BUT it also affects my ftp access and shell access and everything.
like 2 hours ago
ftp://iamsundrop.com
new user/ new pass (from new host)
works
Now
old user/ old pass ( old host)
different servers completly,
why cant the dns resolve the correct one? i have never seen them be confused.
can any exlain the dilemma?

ok so lets say i go here new forum, i installed on the new host.
http://hercules.xgrav.com/~jstutman/phpbb/
i log in
it directs me here
http://iamsundrop.com/phpbb/index.php?sid=5236ac48bad4ecad6fc3c2c1ed4a7289
magically the link dont work, cause its trying to reach the old domain,
WHEN the domain points at the new host, it works.

lmao ok so delete this
i found out that different isps propagate the new dsn servers at different times, and depending on which route my isp takes at that time affects whos dns server it goes too.
Thanks to godaddy.com 24/7 support they answered it and helped me
totally reccomend godaddy.com for all your registra needs.

Yeah unfortunately it's never a simple swapout when switching DNS, you just have to wait for it to propogate! Email servers are a real nightmare in this kind of situation.

Yes sir, sure enough this morning. it seams to be pointing to my new host. the ftp works fine as well :D
the guy on the phone said it normally take 48 hours, but he has seen some isps not propagate for almost 72 hours. (they must be crappy ) being that is has been 72 hours. lets hope everything is done now

Its a performance tradeoff. If you are set up to propagate faster, you spend more bandwidth on dns queries.
