Whats on the horizont of the dual Athlon MP market???

Im thinking of bulding a Dual LAN box =)
and I whant AMD... but I dont know of any Dual AMd motherboards. You guys know of any thing intresting coming now or soon on the market?
-----------------------

By the way, I'm thinking of building a MicroATX using the
YY-A101 Tiny Tower from YEONGYANG.

And the best MATX MOBO seems to be AOpen MK7A!?
Do you know a better MOBO?

And do you know if there are any Dual MATX MOBO at all, ithere it is p3 or AMD? =)

And do the MATX MOBO use the same PSU or do they use some smaller standard?

PS Sorry for all the questions, im not tha a bigger newbie that i sound like... rely ;-)

I thought that AMD didn't have any dual configs in the works.

Tyan has the K7 thunder but I don't think that will fit in a matx case. Dual athlons all the way baby!

Hmmm, AMD do have the Athlon MP=multiproccesor

So you shuld think they would be working on a Dual chipset od some sort!? And I do thingk I have heard of Dual Athlon systems, but thay are kinda rare, so I wonderd if maby Abit, iWill and all the othere are cooking something up. =)

And I think a dual Athlon system will be a monster!! *lol* :D

When i was on a lan pasrty and I was downlaoding and upploading in full speed (I have a Celly600@810 :( , 256SDRAM, Abit SE6) and the computer would turn unbareabilly slow!!!????

And buddies of mine gote tha same thing, is hat normal?
and would I awoid that with a dual processor system?

Pitty, the would be the ultimate LAN, But hey the Lian-Li PC-30/31 arnt that much bigger and they fit the biggest standard AXT MOBO, and it only ways like half a kilo more (thats a pound for you "metrical impierd :p )

well, the Tyan is based on the AMD 760 chipset so it's a reference style board for smp Athlon rigs. I would imagine the other companies coming out with overclocking smp boards in the near future as palominos come to be the predominant chip.

As to why your comp got all slow, I have no idea it could have been 10,000 things.

Yes, i have found some reviews and it looks mostly aimed at the sever market...

The Tyan Tiger MP sounds like its aimed at the mortal market ;)

In one review i heard that no other MOBO company is going to realese a MOBO with the 760MP chipset, they are waiting for the 760MPX chipset and aperently they have allready anounced MOBOs with that chipset. But how long can a man wait for such sweeties

Yup, thats what I thought ;)

No but if i build a SMP-system or a MicroATX system... soon I wouldnt spend the money of buying a DualAMD MOBO for at least 2 years...

but it feels like theya re right around the corner... but on the other hand they migh just as whell prospone it another 6 Months... and i feel like starting my projects now...

(all good comes to who waits, all good comes to who waits, all good comes to who waits, all good comes to who waits,... hm must stop mubling and keep writing ;) )

To buy now or to buy later that is THE question! :D

Here is a pic of my comp... yes i can close a door in front of the tower so I dont see it.

And this picture was taken before i added a 120mm fangrill at the front

Im using a papst 12dB 80mm fan in the 250W PSU
Im using a papst 12dB 80mm fan in the over my Alpha heatsink.
And im using a papst 120mm 28dB in the front... and i have made an "adapter" so i can run it on the 7v hack... SILENT

Oh and I have a Matrox G400DH (no fan there)
And i use a fujitsu 5400rpm silen 20gb drive
a Maxtor 5400rpm 40gb
And both I hva in the SilenPC harddrive silencer or what its called.

I used a GORB before... the litle bugger aint cool, and it made vaibration allthrugh myc desk!!! :(

So now I have a realy coold and silent computer... but it needs a new processor (celly 600@810, 256MB cas2 ram) and a GForce :)
