I'm on Duron 950, and I have to use CPUFSB to overclock. the thing is that it's fine at 990, but if I use 997 it crashes, then anything above that it crashes....what's the problem?
Cooling is fine (at 990 my heat is at 32)

It's probably just that your motherboard can't handle the FSB. Some motherboards are finicky like that...especially the cheaper ones.

it sounds like either your motherboard, your memory, or one of ur cards is locking up at higher bus speeds--try changing your multiplier

how?? I'm using CPUFSB
You cant change your cpu modifier with software, you need to unlock the L1's and change jumpers to change the CPU multiplier, that will get you another 1-200 mhz depending on your cpu etc. CPUFSB just changes your Front Side Bus speed. By changing that speed it makes your ram and all other devices go faster. Some of those devices cant handle that speed, especially cheap mobo, ram, ethernet cards etc. So to get a higher rate of performance you should tweak the FSB as high as it will go with CPUFSB and then tweak the CPU multiplier. Good Luck.

I havea Duron 900 and i cant get over 105 FSB :( you have to unlock the L1 and up the mulitilpier....
what MB are you using ?
you guys should be studying the beginner guides before even attempting to O/C your rigs or post in here... c'mon.. thats what they're there for!
you need to get the basics down, if you guys dont know about unlocking em' or multipliers... you REALLY NEED to READ!!
before you kill your chips ppl

I know how to overclock on other boards, but this one is confusing. Amptron K7-VMA board. I can't locate any multiplier jumper changes in the manual....and it can't be changed in the bios....
I wonder if the board at all supports upping the multiplier
I alrdy did unlock
The bios can't be changed...the multiplier and frequency is grayed, hence the CPUFSB...

It says in your sig you got it to 1045....

Yaya, I know, today, I fiddled around with the prog...I hit 1045 Mhz...twice, and now it won't do it again. I'm talking to the author, so he might fix this problem...but I was there! and I have the benchmarks to prove it! :)
