Alright here is my problem. I ran into the problem right after I tried loading XP R2 onto my computer. During loading XP I got errors that made the system dump the memory so that it would not harm my system. I thought that it might be the ATA100 bus and the incompatibility with XP. I got 2000 dirvers for it but still got errors. I had dll not load during install so I decided to move back to an operating system that worked for me in the past. I reformated millions of times, flashed my BIOS, reseated the RAM. I have tried to load 98, 2000, XP. With 98 and 2000 I get them to load, but I always get internal errors and programs shut down, like iexplorer. I am trying to keep it short. so here is my computer specs. (I think that it might be my motherboard.)

Disconnect everything but the video card, hard drive, mouse and keyboard and try.
What are you using to format a regular boot disk?

Sorry that I didn't post that. I tried it. I have tried a regular 98 boot disk, and a boot disk from the HD manufacturer.

Make sure you have use lba on in the bios and try using fdisk to create the partition and format vs. the format command.
