Finally got up the guts to MAX out the voltage to 1.85 Vcore!!!
Seems stable SO FAR...
100% CPU pushes 51 degrees C when the ambient is on the Warm side!!
On the Hairy Edge heat wise...I think the ole Silver mountain is at it's limits...with the stock fan anyway...
Got an MC-462 coming and a 80mm Delta coming to try!!!
I NEVER thought that this CPU would go over 1.6!!
This is 153 FSB *10.5 for 1606.5
I thought the Nanya DDR PC2100 was the block....bbut al it took was a bit more VCORE!!!
YAHOOOO!!!!
Now...someone spill the secrets about the mods to the motherboard to go higher still...
Pictures would be AWESOME!!!!
Abit KG7-RAID

Very nice OC!
What do you think of the Silver Mountain? I might get one of those, and I would love to hear more about them.

i dont know where the vmod is for that mobo but i think even with thew swiftech......more voltage ill be too hot
water is the next step and what you paid for the swiftech...you could have built a NICE water cooling system
just my thoughts

ARRGHHHHH!!
Sandra "Burn" utility caused Kernel erros....
HAD to back off the FSB by 1 MHZ...
Now 152 * 10.5 for 1596!!
Vcore the same...1.85...and ROCK STABLE at 100% CPU!!
Dang..I wanted to see that 1.6 barrier FALL HARD!!!
I know that I could have built a water setup...but Air cooling is just so convienant..
Besides the water setup I wanted was $245.00...!!!!!
Now the Swiftech seems like a BARGAIN compared to that!!
IF I go Water....It will be ALL THE WAY!!!!
The Best Of The Best!!!
I'll most likely try it eventually...when I start going DEAF from all the FANS!!!!

Oh...I forgot.....
The Silver Mountain....
I'll be doing a SHOOTOUT between the MC-462 and the Silver Mountain SOON!!!!
Just awaiting the Fed Ex man to pay me a visit!!!
I've had the silver mountain in for 2 weeks now...and it has covered everything I've thrown at it!!!
I would have to say ...of ALL the 60mm setups out there It is Number 1....Best of the best!
In order to beat it..you have to jump into the 80mm catagory...
It will "PLEASE ALL BUT THE MOST FOOLHARDY OF OVERCLOCKER".
(BTW..I consider "FOOLHARDY" a term of endearment when it comes to OverClocking... ;) )
Clock On!!!
Larry
Nice work Larry. 1596 is still peppy. The volt mod is the same as a KT7 except I would recommend a 100K and 1K trimmer in series off Pin 7. If you need details, just ask.

Id like to give this voltage mod a shot! 100K and a 1K in series? what is the wire source and where is it going?

Have you tried increasing voltage to memory?
For me it made all the difference, +0.4v gave me stability with FSB's over 150.

I know that the RAM is MUCH more sensitive to voltage..
What is the max SAFE voltage that it can be pushed to?
Nanya PC2100 CAS2 2 X 256 MB.

Seriously....
I hate to be a Pain....
But I'd rather not FRY my RAM right now.....
Maybe LATER....but not now...;)
+.4V on the DDR....
But I'm not sure what the "Nominal" value of the DDR was supposed to be....
Thanks.....
