I'm trying to figure out a way to use my hard-lined desktop, which also has a wireless PCI adapter, to provide wireless internet for my wireless laptop... is this even possible without using a seperate router?
Basically I just want to share my wired connection through the wireless adapter, with my other wireless computer.

If it is an XP machine, you could bridge the connections. I have never done it this way. Another option would be to use Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) to basically share your Wired connection to the wireless. If you use the ICS method though, your wireless machine wont be able to access other computers on your network other than the ICS machine.
