I installed my X800XT and SP2 basically at the same time a couple weeks back, and since then 2k1 won't load. When I run the .exe the mouse pointer changes to an hourglass for a split second and then...nothing. No process gets hung up or anything, it just flat out crashes from the get-go. I've done some searching but haven't been able to find the problem.

I should also mention that my system is 100% Prime stable, I've tried backing the oc's on the cpu and gpu back to stock, and have tried multiple drivers--same situation everytime. Same goes for uninstalling and reinstalling 2k1. 2k3 and 2k5 and every other program I have run just fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

I actually just had this problem before i came online. I installed the new omega drivers so i wanted to test out all the 3dmars again. The only thing i found that worked was to re-install, then restart your computer, that got mine back up and running. Although i have no idea why it stopped working in the first place. I have an x800 Pro

BTW, i would put this in the x800 & 6800 marks section, but they dont want anything but scores :D But i would suggest switching to the omega drivers. I got a HUGE increase in scores once i installed it. Although i never tested 3dmark with default settings after the omega drivers. Heres a link to my post.

I guess I'll give the Omegas a shot, though I've already tried three different versions of the official Cats, so it seems unlikely to help. Naturally I rebooted on previous attempts, to no avail.

I posted my scores in that x800/6800 thread earlier with a link to this post as the explanation for my not having a 2k1 score.

As far as that increase is concerned, something was wrong with your previous drivers, or perhaps some cycles were getting chewed up during the 3600 bench. My guess is the settings probably had some aa and/or af enabled the first time. The 5k range is where you should be with any drivers with an X800 Pro and your card settings tuned to performance.

Ya that could be true, i didnt look into it TOO much. And by re-installing, i meant re-install 3DMark. Thats what worked for me, i didnt even bother uninstalling it either, i just installed it over, rebooted, and it worked. Hope it works for you as well.
