Is the IC7 v1.1 compatible with a prescott 3.2E right out of the box or do I have to flash the bios first?

I have a brand new board and Im wondering if I should use my old northwood first to flash the bios before I put the 3.2E in.

You should be fine with 3.2E. I brought my IC7 v1.1 about 2 weeks ago and it works fine out of the box with my 3.0E . If I remember correctly, it came with bios version 21.

Yea you should flash the bios. I tried a 3.4e on my ic7-g and it shows up as 2.8ghz? Anyways i just tested it for fun since I'm not keeping the 3.4e
