okay, here is what is going on... one of my computers is randomly restarting. first i will post the system specs:

cpu - pentium 4 northwood 2.6c w/512k cache @ 2.6 (has been overclocked)
mobo - asus p4c800 deluxe
os - windows server 2003 enterprise edition
memory - 2 x 256 mb nanya 3-3-3-8 ecc
video card - geforce 4 ti 4200 8x agp
audio - soundmax integrated audio
raid controller - silicon image ultra 133 medley ata raid card (in IDE mode)
hd 1 - 80.0 gb western ditigal caviar @ 7200 rpm (2 mb cache) (contains OS)
hd 2 - 160.0 gb samsung @ 7200 rpm (2 mb cache)
floppy - mitsumi 3 ½"
zip - iomega internal scsi zip 100
cd-rom - generic cd-rom
hsf - thermalright sp-94
i don't think i missed anything there...
first of all, i have swapped out power supplies thinking that it was a power issue. i did get voltages that were much closer, but that didn't help at all. then i decided to look at my system event logs to see what was going on. i noticed i had tons of errors that were disk errors. in the description, they said "the drive \Device\Harddisk2 is not ready for access yet." so i figured that it was that hard drive. well i unplugged that hard drive and left the system running. same thing. random reboot. so then i checked the logs and then it gave me an error, exactly that same but it was harddisk2 this time. so i figured that there may be something wrong with my onboard controller. so i put my silicon image ata/raid controller in and so far (all night long) there have been no disk errors but i still get random restarts
i have run memtest86 on the ram and it checks out fine. it runs prime95 fine until it restarts. it never gets any errors until a restart. i've run chkdsk on all of my drives, still nothing. i am starting off with a clear log file to see what sort of errors i am getting now. i will post the log file once it restarts.
