A while ago I had this program where I could setup my modems hardware from in windows. Like truning on the diffrent v.## things an other codes. I was wondering if anyone knows what this program is called?? so I can get it.
Don't know but how about doing a search in Cnet.com for modem programs?

I did that already. Typed in modem an it came up with 266 resualts. I looked at all of them an didn't see the program or anything like it.
the features are built into windows, which is why you won't find such a thing...
you had better com options in win95 IMO cuz newer versions especially Me it's like having to get lucky sometimes to get a modem working at all.....
and then theres that mysterious com port 4 that exists not in any manual i've seen LOL
The reason why u can't get WIN ME to get modems to work correctly is because u have to choose the com ports. It isn't automatic like 98 or 95. IN some ways this is a good thing cuz u have more control over ur ports. But it is a big pain in the butt because when i switched to ME it took me 4 hours to find that out.

I don't have WinMe, I'm running win98 now. But its been such a long time since I had this program I forgot the name of it. So if anyone knows what even the programs called it'll help.
