View Full Version : We are ready to burn
OK guys I have been listening to you and reading everything you say and soaking it all up liek a hungry sponge.
I bought my artic silver II, ThermalTake Volcano 6cu, my circut pen for the L1 bridges and am ready for the trenches so any more advise before I jump off the deep end into overclockers oblivian. Speak now or for ever rest in peace...
Keep your fingers crossed and will have screen shots of results as well as my custom desk I have built to house my Computers, (9 foot x 9 foot x 6 foot - all 3/4 MDF) YEah baby!!!
Soon I shall be one of you either flamed out or in burning glory.
Long live AMD
Yes work slow and dont push on the heatsink only the clips :)
Have fun!
hahaha funny man - you calling my computer a toy?? Intel is a toy - AMD is the real sh!!t
I work for a reprographic company - i'll see if I can hook it up for you - what size are you interested in??? and they might be vynal - like the ones you would put on a car....
besides the L1 bridges should I jump any others????????????????????????
Nope, the L1's should be enough for ya!
Right on - thanks!
While I am at - Is it safe to 'cut' my cables and zip tie them up instead of dishing out for the custom pretty colored round cables?
I did that. You will have to be careful. You just make a little cut with the knife, and the you can pull the gently from each other. I don't think you should cut all 40/80 wires out. Make some "groups" of 4-6 wires.
good luck
wires cut fine - cut in groups of roughly 6-8 L1's are unlocked, and running 119 x 12 for 1396 I think it said but now my SYS won't boot up @!#%$ Microsoft - got to fix that other than that I am stable - I checked my temps in the BIOS I was running 114F before @ 1Gig I am now at 84F at 1.3
WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ok party over back to fixing microshaft....er.. microsoft.
Will update later!
um.......... danger danger will robinson - BIOS ROM chcksum error *kicks self*
ok what happened here?
damn guys I sweated off a lot there!!!!!!!! reflashed the bios and loaded the defualts... I think I am back
*just rebooted*
ahhh yeahhhhhh booyyeee Now I will SLOWLLLLLY amp up my speed
ok after two BSOD's I am at 100%!!!
How many people *survey says* had this happen? or am I the happless chap who royally screwed the goose on this?
My 1gig 200FSB pc133 Ram is...
Running @ 1.245gig @ 218FSB and ram @ 145

Sounds like a good idea. Some burn-in will do it good. What stepping is your T-Bird?
it is only a AXHA stepping
OK this sucks
I spent 13 bucks on a conductive pen to only have it boot ''unlocked'' once in a while - so I took a #2 mechcanical pencil to the bridges and holy coW!!!!!!! its unlocked solid!!!
Now to get my damn BIOS back and get her to boot up....
Will post again later.

Hey my guy who does all my ''side work'' was canned today for just that - not doing his job, but I will keep looking into it for you man. figure maybe something the size of a normal bumper sticker??? and a few other sizes to scale.

One of the short stickers, perhaps.
I got the hook up buddy - now to work out the details of getting out to ya. .... and I need some serious number crunching in getting my AMD/MOBO sh!# figured out.
I need to reset my CMOS tonight - i will get abck with ya at where i am at - but right now I can not keep my L1's unlocked.
I can make a bunch but only thing is this is high end supplies I can't make too many or they may think something is up - I will make what I can and if anyone wants one they can contact me - I reread the sign and it had me confused???? That ain't proper english is it?
how about an ''un-overclocked computer is a terrible thing to waste''
HAHAHAH PHUNNY websight,
''Go back toward your behind''
I know evberyuoien here knows about computers but I do not know how many know car stereos, and about sound proofing.
I have an ANTEC sx-1030 case with 13 fans within it! It WAS very loud. I cut my noise dowen by 50% roughly and how I did it was easy and cheap and very stealth! Get some DYNAMAT basic and on the side of the case behind the MOBO remove it and cover the whole panel (minus and inch on each side whee it comes into an overlapping area to connect to the case, and it is quiet as a mouse!!!! I have it in the open and I normally sit 6 feet away from it while I am in this forum and it is quiter now with my ear next to it then before the DYNAMAT and being farther away before....
whole project cost about 10-20 bucks depending on where you get the dynamat, I had extra laying around from my truck stereo system.
