Netzero and IE

had netzero on a machine and decided to get rid of it. now when you open IE and the browser window is maximised there is a 2 inch area at the top of the screen where the netzero adds used to go that you can see the desktop. how do i fix the problem?? is it a registry fix or can it be fixed otherwise

when u removed the program did you just delete the folder or did u do an uninstall of the ad software? I've never had the opportunity of using netzero myself, but there is probably a separate ad program that gets installed with the software (as a means of paying for itself)

In the Add/Remove Programs Box look for something titled "Netzero Ad Banners" or something similar. Uninstall it, then try again (you may or may not need to reboot...like i said, i have never used netzero or its software)

try using ad-aware and remove it

i tried netzero just for you and trie to get the same problem
its ween you remove the Folder (in my case) C:\Programefilez\Netzero
IE still thinks that Netzero is there but there is no IMAGE to show so it dosent show anything :)
just install Netzero again and Uninstall from Options/add-remove programe and it will go away :) have fun
