Whats happening?

I've got a monitor that is randomly(or atleast seems that way) getting "Artifacts" of sorts on it. It will ocationally get a thin black line on the lower portion of the screen, It will also ocationally become slightly distorted and EXTREEMLY lite on the right half of the screen. They generally happen in close Time proxemity to eachother and are fixed, temporarilly, by turning the monitor off then back on. Its happening like once a week at max.

Sounds like your monitor may be dieing...mine was doing several of the things you mentioned in the past, i had to hit it to make it stop but it eventually died.

You can also try messing with your refresh rate on the monitor... try and set it to a different frequency...

I would just make sure there's no magnetic charge closeby (non-shielded speakers) even though some shielded speakers can affect monitors still.

The dying monitor will just get worse with time, you can repair them, but the cost to do so would be pointless, at least from what I've heard.
