View Full Version : Best heatsink for AMD
I wonder what the best heatsink for AMD is. I am planning to overclock my 750Mhz above 1Ghz. I believe I would need a pretty good heatsink.
Please recommend me some heatsinks and please say why it is good.
Thanks in advance.

a compareson can be found here http://www.overclockers.com/tips519 all of these are good
The Swiftech MC462. But get a high-output Delta fan for the top. Hands-down the best performing air cooler for Socket A. (We won't get into noise or anything else!) Also, it's got an excellent mounting system that makes use of springs and the four holes around the socket. It's hefty and pricey, though.
How about the Silver Mountain? Can it be compared to those HS's?
I've a Volcano II in my system (check the sig). For me it was a good compromise between cooling and silence. You'd get a bit more out of a Global Win setup but at a cost of a lot more noise.
