Does anyone know if ddr2 dell ram works in standered pcs (ddr2 pc), i seen some dell ddr2 2 gig goin cheap and was wonderin if it works in normal pcs?

just a guess, but i wouldn't trust the performance of some product from dell

It depends on the SPD timings they are using on the ram. Dell gets ram made just for them so the program it to what works best on the boards they use.

Oh ok thanks, i didnt know dell makes diffrent sockets too i would have thought it would be the same as the normal ddr2 sockets

ddr is ddr

ddr2 is ddr2 its all the same socket...

oh see I must have misread his post, I thought he was asking if ddr2 works in ddr slots. We get a lot of those questions around here.
