Well as most fans come with a high flow 60mm or an 80mm and most of use use 80mm at least for the HS, why cant a 90-2mm or a 120mm fan even, be used for a HS- i mean the fan would be wider than the HS on all sides, so would still suck air from all around the HS which would be good right?, id like to try a quiet 120mm fan over a loud 80mm?? Any PRO's/CON's

Well, there is the problem of the large spot of dead air beneath the center knobby thing that the fan blades are attached to. In the bigger fans that's getting to be really close to the size of the heatsink. But if you use some sort of funnel it should work well. :)

Or maybe duct the 120mm fan to the side of the case and mount it off the center of the hsf so the blocked off part wouldn't block the hsf. In addition, the fan may be large enough to cool your memory too...the biggest downside I see to this is that the case cables could be a hassle and the case wouldn't look too pretty on the inside. Attached is a pic of my idea . . .

There is a place to get 60mm to 80mm adapters for this and then get a 80mm to 92mm adapter and there ya go. I am thinking of putting a 92mm on my Swifty. I will look for this link.

the problem is that fans don't deal with backpressure as well. For instance, to get the same performance of a delta 38 in an 80mm funnel, you have to get guess what, the 80mm delta.

TranceBear - Plycon has the Japanese 92mm to 80mm adapters on sale for 22.99 right now.

Haven't found a 120 to 80 adapter tunnel. I also have the Swifty and am looking to put a 92 or 120 on it.
