I want two slk-800A's or slk-900A's, but can't find them. Chris sent me a link to Rav's post (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=214864) the only ones I could really find were the Thermaltake Silentboost's and the tech at jab-tech said they weren't that good. I also already have two panflo L1A's that I'd like to use.
any suggestions?
thanks
Andy

Seriously though, if you don't say where you are in the world, it's a little hard to say where you could get them from. Also, Silent Boosts aren't actually that bad. I've got them in my main machine (2xBarton 2500 @ 2.1GHz) and am quite happy with them.

sorry, I'm in the U.S. I've been searching all day because I need them quick. I found some slk-800U's, but they need to be cut up and I'm not good at that stuff or have the tools.
I just found some slk-700's do they work?

directron.com...they should still have some left.
I've gotten pretty creative with fitting two CNPS7000Cus onto the GA-7DPDXW board I own. I don't know how distance-forgiving the K7D master is, but I'm pretty sure two would fit with a little bit of fin bending.
Just a tip
EDIT - the regulator heatsinks on the MSI may cause interference issues, darn. Nah well. too tough to tell, these mpx duallys are really close calls when it comes to clearance - but I'd take the benefit of the doubt and use a more compact heatsink.

As I asked in Rav's thread. Will a pair of SLK947s fit? If not, what needs to be dremel'd off?

Since nobody apparently want to admit trying this, I made this picture where I think everything is in identical scale. If I have placed the sinks correctly, I think only one or two finns need to be modded. The only problem is that there is a mosfet or something with a large black sink.

nice work! I'm sure that thermalright wouldn't suggest modding, so that's why they told me no. the pic looks good to me. I wish that I would have taken a pic while I had them.

Could you post a picture? I'm really interested to see how that would work. That heatsink is one of my favorites, but I always assumed it was just too big to fit on an AMD dually...
It's in one of the latter pages of the SMP Pics section. Quite a sight...:D

Very cool looking.
Any idea what other dual AMD boards can be equipped with pair of those (or definitely won't work?)
