On MBM, it says Temp 1, temp 2 and temp 3

temp one I'm pretty sure is my MB temp, temp 2 is my chip, and temp 3 I dunno., The thing is that the 3rd temp is going crazy (it hit 50 celcius today) while my cpu chip is usually at 30ish

temp three is probably your cpu, then. It's going to be the most subject to change. The one that doesn't change at all is going to be worthless (doens't really have an input) and the one that changes a bit is going to be the motherboard temp.

do you know where they are on the board? you could try touching them with your finger to see if the temp increases (only works if they are lower than about 30oC, obviously the one left is the in socket sensor for the cpu.

Erm/...no, the first two are my Mobo temp and my cpu temp, I checked it from the BIOS and MBM says the same thing. I dunno bout the third one though, cuz whatver it is, I gotta cool it down

#1 is the northbridge, #2 CPU, and #3 is the system temp (if I remember right).

I should say that is what they are on my motherboard.

Ahh...system temp.......how...do you lower that?

a combination of cpu and case cooling affects the system temp.
A good system temp is anywhere between room temp and room temp+10oC or so

omg, why is it so damn hot then? my cpu temp is at 34, and my room temp is maybe 22-23 degrees

is the case closed?

Yep, parents and the owner of the place where I bought the cpu says that I should close the case, and open a window. Yep I did that. That ****** idiot that sold me the cpu knows nothin. And now it's hot as hell. My CPU isn't overclocked when it hit that 50 somethin temp.

Took off the side of the case,...20 seconds later, cpu temp dropped down to 45...stil damn hot though. used to be at 30-40

well, double check the voltage.
make sure there are no bridges connecting, <trust me!>
make sure SLIGHT amount of heatsink paste only, transparent layer...

and honestly, 45*C under a thermaltake is not abnormal...
lapp it to shave 1-3* off

and keep that case open man!

i do :)

hard drives can get hot for one.
for two, make sure the PSU fan is exhausting OUT, not sucking air into your case, k

Damn, alright, thanx, I'll go fry a burger now, and hope my cpu cools off, lol
