Hi folks.

Research phase of the watercooling proceeding nicely.

I have now hit another snag.

The waterblock I'm looking at has 3/8 barbs. (MCW6000)

This block is also available with 1/2 barbs at a nominal cost.

Pump is not bought yet. Heater core has yet to be modified.

Current projections:
Via Aqua 1300
Chevette or Geo Tracker core
T-line setup
Some GPU block

Does it matter if there's a 3/8 restriction in a 1/2 system?

Or should I go all 1/2?

The 3/8 block performs better at lower flowrates, thus allowing for a crappier pump.

But will the rest of the system be castrated by the 3/8 restriction?

Get the 6002 waterblock. Same block but with 1/2 barbs. Then you dont have to worry about conflicting tubing sizes.
