I dunno if some-one already posted something like this or not, but ne-ways.
I was wondering whats the best program to test your OC'd video card for artifacts??
I use 3d Mark 2000 and/or 2001
www.madonion.com
I should add that I use the bump mapping benchmark in a loop because it seems to place the most stress on the memory.

Metalsiren,
My personal favorite's are:
3DMark2000 v1.1 (http://gamershq.madonion.com/download/?3dmark2000.shtml)
3DMark2001 (http://gamershq.madonion.com/download/?3dmark2001.shtml)
I'Ve tried Artifact Tester 5.0 (http://www.tweakfiles.com/diagnostic/artifacttester.html) But it doesnt seem to work that well at actually detecting artifacts. When it says ZERO artifacts there you may get a lockup using Madonion so the best way to check is to raise your Core or Memory speed slowly and run Madonion until you find how high you can go and then find the best settings depending on your card overclockability.

There I go again getting subliminal mind control from my friend Pinky 'The Psychic overclocker' telling me to write what I did.....

You were reading my mind, but you type too slowly :).

I've ran both 3dmarks2000 an 2001. When I run 2000 I don't get any artifacts but then when I run 2001 I get some atrifacts (thats with the same settings. Right now I tweaked my setting lower to about 183 for both memory an core. I heard somewhere that 3dmarks2001 is for testing the new geforce3 cards.
btw, I have a geforce 2 mx400 32mb.

If you get artifacts in either I'd say you'll have to lower the clock speeds. Sometimes excessive heat can cause artifacts even when at default speeds.
Its good to run the 3dmark2001 in a loop for a hour or so. IF you don't get a lock up or artifacts after that, id say your good to go.
I really don't see the point of running a card on the ragged edge just to play games. Bench marking is one thing, but playing games for hours on end, especially online, with the risk of the card locking up at a critical point in a game sucks.
