helppp, my radeon suk?

just got my radeon LE DDR today, I couldnt' get it to pass "car chase" high detail in 3dMark2001. I unchecked to run the benchmark without "car chase" everything ran fine. I even lower the GPU and Mem speed down all the way to 120.. anyone have the same problem or know why? thanks

dude your radeon doesnt suck just because it cant finish the car scene...in fact i consider the dragothic one to be harder....why dont you clock your le back to normal in fact try to overclock it to 166 or 183 and then download the altest drivers and reinstall 3dmark..that should fix your problem.....you have quite a nice video card there my friend....

Hmm... Exactly what happened? I suggest getting the 7153 Beta Drivers from rage3d.com. I'd say it's the divers, doesn't seem like anything else would stop you from finishing the chase

heck i could finish that chase with a rage fury pro.....sure i might have gotten 6fps but i sure as heck finished it for an astounding score of 1160 3dmarks!.....

Dont know if it applies to 3dMark but did you enable Hyper z?

yean, i used regedit to enable that.

changed the driver and it worked. but the score.....not very good.
i got

1608 at default
1783 with Hyperz enable
2011 with 180mhz (and tweaked with radeontweak)
2018 with 182mhz

is this low?
any idea how to make it faster? oh yeah, 3dmark can't test game #4(nature) it said no hardware support or something like that. I wonder if this is the reason why the score is so low, is this normal for a radeon LE?

No current Radeon card can run the Nature test, as it uses Direct X features (I forget which, possibly Pixel Shaders) which the Radeon doesn't support. Only the GF3s can run the Nature test.

Well how does the card run in real world gaming? Are you satisfied with it? If so then I would'nt worry about what benchmarking program tells you. To be honest with you I have never downloaded 3DMark ever. As long as my games look and good and run smooth thats all that matters to me.

those are really low scores depending on your system....with an le you get at least a 2800 default
