I have lost the fight.

My wife hates my folding rigs and has demaned that I shut them down! She says thet are hot and noisy.

I was able to hang on to two of my five machines. I lost a 1.2 athlon my Dual PPro 200 Server and my 850 athlon. I'm down to my P4 1.5 and a dual PII 450. I stop folding with my PIII 1.0 laptop after a burned the last one up folding but it's up and folding now. I just hope that Compaq will send me another one if this one burners up. They replaced the last one for free.

I'm going to spend the next week (or how ever long it takes) bowling untill she will resume negotiations. She hate it when I go bowling my bowling partner is a 28 year old single girl. Folding or flirting one or the other whats it going to be! lol

Sorry to hear about that, although a sexy young bowling partner sounds like a good alternative.

Good luck with the negotiations.

I left the house first thing in the morning and bought a new bowling ball. Got back to the house about 2:00. After the new ball discussion and something about new shoes I wasn’t listening. A comprise was reached THE FOLDER GO BACK ON-LINE. I have to shut them down at 10pm (Ya Right) and I can only bowl two days a week, and there was something else about the mall and shoes and girl and bowling but I wasn’t listening after the part about the folder coming back. LOL

You haven't had enough to drink yet.
A little Gin, a taste of rum, a touch of scotch, a sip(err 5+ bottles) of some fine wine, and a barrel of Germany's best brew. That'll do it, for now. Try that without getting a hangover.

Burn'em, Glad to see that you found a compromise. I didn't like moving up in the weekly stats that way. Maybe a little bit of PC silencing work can get you back up and running 24/7 again. :D

get some dynamat and silence them! Cheap and effective, that and a diamond ring will do the trick!

OK, so her average is only 4 pins higher than mine.. kool. (although, 2 nights ago that might have changed a tad.. not a good idea to bowl every game 20+ pins over average the second night into the league)

Anyway, my main desire in a woman is that she not be on the Internet.. don't really care much about appearances or origins. :D

She already has a bowling partner. lol

OK, you're a bowler, think of the odds of this..

Last week, we started the winter league. We voted to try the one-colored-pin thing, with anyone who gets a strike while the head pin is the colored one gets a ticket, and the ticket goes in for a drawing or multiple drawings for prizes.

That first night, on a league with 23 teams, (all 24 lanes used, one "blind" team inserted) we had to give out something like 55 tickets. (I got two of them)

Now, there are 21 pins per lane.. a set of 10 on the alley, a set of 10 waiting in the rack, and one extra in case of a jam or whatever. The 21st pin is the colored one. That makes for roughly one colored pin every other frame. Add to that the 1-in-10 chance of the colored pin being the head pin. Everyone plays 3 games a night.. teams are 5 people each. Doesn't that still seem just a wee bit improbable?

(yes, it's OT, but it's late and I've had a long and tedious b-day, and now I'm gonna enjoy a gin and tonic or four before bed)

Seems to me that there will be very few tickets in the hat. There was approximatly 3450 frames bowled and only 55 ticks where given out and you got two that's pretty good.
