Hi everyone -

I am looking for a dual or quad mobo that will use the pentium 4 processors...

not the xeon

any links would be appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Pentium 4 CPUs will only operate in single CPU configuration. It is not possible to use more than one Pentium 4 in a system. Pentium Pros/Pentium IIs/Pentium IIIs/Xeons/Itaniums are the only Intel CPUs that can be run in SMP.

On a side note -

has anyone ran a head-to-head comparison of dual xeon
and a equally speedy single p4???

In normal use apps the P4 will beat the Xeon, but in server-like situations its vice versa. As always, it comes down to just what you need the chip for.
