I dont know where my friend got this from, but he appears to have gotten a core from AMD thats an AZIA core. He was braggin to me about his 1GHz chip he picked up for $123 CAN after GST!,

anyway, he says the chip can do 1.6GHz without upping the voltage. All I know is that it would kick some serious booty eh.
I will tell everyone more when I go around the net looking for others with AZIA core.

So if this chip can do 1.6GHz with defualt voltage, then this chip should be able to hit 1.8GHz with 1.9V maybe?

Maybe, my default voltage on my chip is 1.85. I think I can drop it back down to 1.85 after a few more weeks. I would be curious to on what that new stepping can do. Keep us informed!!

Ok,

I love this new chip he's got, right now were running at 1466MHz with the defualt 1.75v core voltage! Impressive! For some reason thou, this cpu has a 4 4 stepping in wcpuid. And it's a 1GHz C Chip. I thought only 1.4s have the 4 4 stepping?

update,

We got the cpu to boot flawlessly at 1533MHz with defualt voltage and we ran Prime95 for 4min without crashing. But, because he's got a Thermaltake superORB, 1533MHz is rated 33MHz too high and we were running 55c MAX which is too hot! so we put it back down to 1466MHz.

I feel the potential of this CPU, we just need a water setup maybe?

Can you give any details regarding where to pickup that stepping? Or was it just "luck o the draw"?

I have no clue, he doesnt either, he won the motherboard and discounted CPU at klondike days (Annual fair) in Edmonton about five weeks ago, he just recieved his price CPU and free motherboard last weekend. But well, there probally is stores filling with these suckers as we type, but I cant tell you the truth were to get one cause I wouldnt have a clue!
