I have some free time at work, and was looking into joining one of those online text-based games. I have played Earth2025 and Nukezone before, but unfortunately both of those sites are blocked at work. I found this website http://www.mpogd.com that lists a LOT of online games but I cant decide, please help.

I used to play work on www.cybriq.com until we sold it,

I was making a textbased game for quite sometime, details were talked about in the GD forum here, but I never got around to finnishing it,

you may beable to get around the work Block of Earth2025 if you grab the IP address of the server rather then the URL, thats how I got around sites being Blocked at my Highschool, the "net nanny" just blocked URL's not IP ranges

9mmCensor- I am looking for a massive multiplayer, colony/war type game, tick based. The kind where you have to build up your province, country, planet, whatever the case might be, build and army and attack (or defend from) other colonies.

ahhh ok.

I dont play those. RPG styles my friends play and I played (read: got addicted to) a hack and slash a while ago.

Try Ambar, its a much smaller community than most, and has changes made by the makers (who are players themself). Its a strategy game where you work in kingdoms to fight others:
