Can you watercooling experts give me some recommendations on good submersible pumps that I can find at a local pet shop?
Unfortunately, I called around and noone here carries the MaxiJet units. What are some good brands/models?
I'd like the unit to be quiet and reliable. Thanks.
Also, I found a MaxiJet 1200 model on the internet for $32. Is this a good price?

We have a couple pet shops around here, they all carry crappy and overpriced pumps. I suggest you buy online. As for brands:
Danner Supreme Mag Pumps ($30)
Eheim ($56)
Little Giant (Considered the Lexus of pumps) [$78]
Rio (Debatable.. some people hate them, some people love them) [$25]

www.dangerden.com has a series of Eheim pumps ranging from budget to rich man pumps. I have the 1250($67) with no complaints what so ever.

I know a lot of people with Danner250s. I understand they work quite well, and don't cost a whole hell of a lot. Plus they have threaded fittings on the in and out, making hard plumbing easy.
Anyway, I don't recommend anything with more flow than that, water flow offers diminishing returns, just as airflow does with a heatsink.
