I have noticed that the P4C is faster than the P4E just by alittle even at 4000mhz . I have both processors
but here are my benchmarks P4C, Keep in mind i bought this processor 7 months ago :)

Wow! What chip is that and what kind of cooling are you using?

keep in mind a P4C will perform better in Sandra than a P4E.
Very nice chip though, whats your system spec? :)

How much vcore did it take? What type of cooling?

I have run several benchmarks with the p4C and p4e at the same speeds and ram configurations . The P4C won by a few hundred points everytime
This computer is fully stable too
I want to go AMD but i dont think i will see much of a performance increase for the money.
not worth it to me. I want at least 15k in CPU MIPS and right now a overclocked FX55 at 3100 mhz is only like 13800-14300mips.
That is a 800 dollar cpu

Whats a stock 3.6E get in Arithmetic ALU and FPU?
Im getting 10348 ALU and 7493 FPU.
I want to know how bad im doing compared to the competition. hehe

whats the cooling, vcore, and specs on that system that your getting a 3.0c to 4.1??
thanks
Can you do a superPi bench on both chips please 1mb and 2mb.
Next time you open sandra use the web udate wizard to see if you have the latest version.

You really have to run games, and real benchmarks, not synthetic stuff like Sandra.....

Here is the new version of sandra and auquamark3d Score :santa2:
I just RMA'd a P4E 3.0 . I will be receiving a new one shortly but from the looks of my SL6WU 30 cap it is doing pretty well. What do you guys think about the prescott . I ran benches but it seems like it alot alot slower at 4 gighertz any ideas? If i can get 4100 mhz out of this new processor i might switch over and sell this one cheap

what cooling and voltage?

Owned this processor over 6 months and now AMD 64 finally might have something better when overclocked. I was thinking about getting a athlon 3500+ and overclocking it to 3 gighertz but i dont this its worth the dough

Nice job. My CPU wont even post at anything over 4.02Ghz :( (brick wall 288 fsb :p)

Id like to see benches at 288 FSB on your chip. :D :-/
Im not sure if that 4ghz sandra result is at 800fsb.
Hope the pressie gets over 4ghz would like to compare the results.

man thats a pretty good over clock
Sorry meant is the result they have for a 4ghz with a stock fsb of 200, bus speed 800.
Great overclock!

Azn,
What are you doing with both processors ? Are you keeping them both or did you sell the miniature room heater?
:)
BTW did you check your PM?

i love my new 3.0C SL6WK. It is a fantastic chip! All I need now is some higher clocking mem to let me use at 1:1 Then I will be setting pretty. you will see by my sandra cpu scores that this little beauty is no slouch!!

My CPU scores on Aquamrk are pretty sweet too!

I have to give some of the credit to my Epox board. This is truly the best board I have ever put onto a mobo tray. Yes it a 865 chipset, but it has trampled so many canterwoods that I have lost track.

the C pipeline actually is "only" 20 stages long. And nice overclock. Using the E-0 stepping of the Pentium 4E, someone was able to get their CPU to 6 GHz+

You will definitely see a significant boost in gaming and benchmarking with a properly-clocked Athlon 64. Nonetheless, you do have some very impressive clocks and are advised to sit tight until a stable K8 platform emerges.

This was under LN2 cooling, which is in no way representative of average overclocker cooling. Hence, such results are insignificant as they are unobtainable by the average enthusiast.

i've been pushing my SL6WK 3.0C and am up to 3.72 right now at 1.7v vcore.
whats the highest vcore i can go to without risking serious damage to the cpu?
as for temps, i max out at about 49 degrees at full load when running prime95.
Thanks.

That 1.7v is pretty risky if you ask me. My 3.0C degraded because of 1.65 vcore, on 3.75Ghz
I was always under the impression the pressie was faster then the northy over 3.6ghz because of its scaling.
And i thought the pressie was better at superpi and doom3 because of the extra cache actualy gets used maybe sse3? guess its just a problem with benchmarks it will always suit one better then other.
What sandra scores are people getting with there pressies over 4ghz does any actualy have a 3.0e@4ghz to compare?

The "average enthusiast"? Hahaha, talking about putting things in perspective!
I wonder what the highest overclock for an aircooled ("even more average enthusiast") chip like that would be? 3.8GHz?
