View Full Version : a process that just wont go away
i am fixing a computer that is really my company's (so reformatting is out of the question) and have found so processes that where using high amounts of ram 2 of them where using about 130MB a piece. i took care of these by hunting down the file and deleting them but now i have run into a problem. there is this one process "svras" that even after i deleted the file and restarted the computer still continues to show up in the processes. it uses about 40mb and severly slows down this laptop. i need to find out what this is and how to delete/ destroy/ just get rid of this problem.
Hi, welcome to the forums ! :)
Try doing Start - Run - MSConfig and seeing if it has installed a startup entry for itself.
Also try running Adaware from www.lavasoft.com to try and nuke it.

Being that it's a process, I think that it is more likely a virus than a piece of spyware. You could try free-avg, or any of the on-line virus checkers. Of course, it could also just be a piece of software that your company installed.
Welcome to the forums.
P.S. I couldn't find reference to that process on the web.
