I need to clean my window and get that piece of tape off the medal circle and glue it down, but for now I'm happy.

and which wires did you tap the led into?
is it a 5v or 3v led?
i just opened a connector up and i see 5 wires which did you use?

It is very simple. Use a small sharp flathead screwdriver to pry open the dongle. Start from the end you plug the port into. Pry half way back. Then start the other side. Then finish going all the way back. It will crack a lot. No worries though.

Then pry back the medal clip. Bend it back and forth until it breaks off. You don't need it.

Then take your 3mm led and wire a 100ohm resistor to the positive leg. Solder the positive to the red wire and the negative led leg to the wire on the opposite end. Bend the led facing forward in the position shown. I used electrical tape to keep from shorting anything out, although there is little chance.

I wrapped the led in plastic wrap losely to distribute the light more.

Oh and they are the 3mm leds from lsdiodes. Can't member what voltage they are for sure.

well it doesnt look near as impressive with blue led's but it still looks pretty sweet,

Xbox controllers are usb so just use the usb +5v and the extra yellow wire is only used for light guns. Btw awsome job on the dvd window it looks ill
