Does anyone know if SETI is putting a full load on my CPU? Since i am running SETI most of time on my computer and i monitor my temps i was wondering if these temps are the CPU's max. I would like use these temps as a comparison to other ways of cooling that i'll be trying.

I totally forgot about System monitor so caught up in many other things.
I've heard thst it dosen't put full load on the CPU (the only reason I can think of is the idle priority), and that other software will heat up your CPU more. But it is a descent indicator of you full load temp. I think it is only a few degrees below the other methods of torturing the CPU.
JigPu
it puts a full load on task managers shows it at 99% CPU usage

Actually - Seti@home uses only those CPU cycles that are not in use. If before you launch Seti, if your system only has 80% CPU availability - then that is the maximum that Seti will use. If you launch Seti - under the same scenario - then launch another program that utilizes another 20% of CPU then Seti will only be able to utilize 60%. Seti takes a backseat to anything else that might be running.

That wouldn't be true if you set Idle priority to high in Seti Driver. It makes the system run sluggish when nothing else is running.
