Need a little help for Networking Assignment

I need to do a little research for my networking class into a couple of different data link frame types. Specifically I need to find out how error checking is done, how flow control is done, and where they are used, along with how the frame is layed out.

These are the frame types

• SDLC
• HDLC
• ETHERNET
• ETHERNET 802.3
• Token Ring

Anyways, I was mainly wondering if any of you know of any good resources for researching such things. Like websites with decent information, etc. Ive been googling a bit and havent really found any comprehensive websites.

Just google something like Ethernet II frame layout or Ethernet frame type, I gave it a try and tons of information came up.
