Powerstrip and Alienadrenaline

These two programs are almost identical, I have noticed powerstrip has been around for quite a while. Yet just recently noticed Alienadrenaline, naturally I would assume that Alienware had used powerstrip's idea since to me it was around before Alienadrenaline. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this, it has been brought up in another forum.
