just the basic a7n8x not deluxe or anything. im looking to get a new vid card and wanna make sure its compatable

according to this (http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=A7N8X&langs=01) your board supports the 6800GT.

Your AGP slot is a 8X slot... the 6800 GT is a 8X card look at this (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=property&DEPA=1) to see the card specs.
