As the title says. Got a old intel al440lx mobo today. Thinking of using in my server, but the real question is: How big harddisk can it take?
(I will of course flash it with the newest bios I can find.)

I did a quick search and the answer appears to be 32 GB on an ATA33 IDE channel.

Also this from Intel about setting the Hard Disk Pre-Delay in the BIOS.
"Booting from large IDE hard drives
Large IDE hard drives may fail to initialize before the system boots. Starting with BIOS version 4A4LL0X0.86A.0015.P05, a "Hard Disk Pre-Delay" option was added to the Main menu in BIOS CMOS Setup. This option allows you to modify the time that the BIOS waits for the IDE hard drive to initialize."

This part I've already seen on, think it was, intels homepage, but the other I hadn't found... 32GB? That is not enough.
I could use ez-bios to detect the disk(s) like I'm right now, but that would kill the some point of the mobo swap. I wan't to get rid of the crappy-old-noisomatic 512 mb disk that I need right now to hold ez-bios. And I need a mobo that can use those 39pin ata133 cables.
Guess I'll have to look for some old slot1 pIII mobos.
