damn windows xp

i was doing my own things when i decided i want to see my new picture so i go plug in my card reader then my system restarted,now it gives me a BSOD when i boot saying STOP: C0000218 {registry file failure}
THe registry cannot load the hive
\systemroot\system32\config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate
it is corrupt, absent, or not writable.

THIS IS REALLY POing me.OMG!
what the hell happend and how do i fix it?
