recently upgraded to win 2000 and went to an amd 1300 now when i try to load diablo it just stays black like it tried but failed to load. Also I get a blinking when I play tribes.

any ideas,

Let's start with drivers since 90% of my past windows 2000 issues were that.

Most of these drivers are available in my link below.

4 - in -1 VIA chipset drivers are critical. Use the 4.32 version

Soundblaster update also critical

make sure Diablo didn't release any patches for windows 2000, it's an older game so they have had to make a fix if w2k was released after the game.

Start there and check back with the results.

There's something called Liveware 3.0, download and install that. This includes the software and drivers for the soundblaster card.

Are you using a soundblaster live?

If NOT, then go to www.creative.com and search for the latest drivers for your card. If windows has already installed them, leave them alone.

Be sure to get directx 8, if that's not what you were referring to in your prior post.
